Examining codes of ethics

Children is a unique and valuable stage in the human life cycle.

  •  "Our responsability is to provide care and education in settings that are    safe, healthy, nurturing.we need to support children development and learning, promoting children's self -awareness,and physical well- being."(NAEYC,2005)
If you work with children you need to have patience, have passion ,and always give as better as you can in knowledge, love, listening ,playing, being a good support for the children in the early years and helping in their good development.

  • "To use assessment instruments and strategies that are appropriate for the children to be assessed, that are used only for the purposes for which they were designed, and that have the potencial to benefit children." (NAEYC,2005)
I love to work with children with age appropiate materials that they can manipulate and  thus become easier in learning.

  • The cooperation and collaboration of the family is important in the children development. "Is a good idea to share information about each child's education and development with families and to help them understand and aprresiate the current knowledge base of the early childhood profession."(NAEYC,2005).
Give issues to the parents to help at home to their children in their development ,working with them in some areas of their development, share ideas with them that support the children in the development of fine motor skills : for example playing with lentils using the two gripper fingers to put each one in the bottle, for the gross motor skills: run, jump, catch a ball with your hand ,kick a ball.this are some of the activities you could give like ideas to the parents that may be helpful in developing good skills.

  3. Hi Maria I love your statement when you say if you work with children you need to have patience and passion. Unfortunately patience and passion are key factors that is sometimes missing in this profession.

  6. Maria,
Great postings, I agree that we need to understand and provide developmentally appropriate materials for children. The parents must always be considered while planning, I love to have parents share their interests, hobbies, culture etc. It is fun for the children and also teaches me something new.
